The world is changing at an extremely fast rate, advances in technology has affected our development in understanding the biological world at an extremely an extremely fast rate and to an excessive level. Cloning is possible and at some point in the near future, the cloning of human beings will be successful and may just become the norm. What for? As products for the rest of us. Through the use of transplants and a healthy clone it could be possible to extend your life considerably. In a world where consumerism is rife, we all live for products. How would it look if you could promote life for money? This is the problem that I chose to give myself to solve for my final Design Project.
I wanted to come up with a clean, sophisticated branding which exuded a modern and fresh feel. The branding had to encompass everything this kind of company would need to be; trustworthy, clever, kind and also contemporary.
I tried to advertise the company by using the fear selling point. By exploiting death to public, they would be lead to the company and therefore it could provide a safety net; a shelter from life, getting old, even death.
This method explores the consumerist society we live in, taking such a grim thing as death and using it to sell something so beautiful, such as life. This is an extreme contradiction, and in many ways wrong, but to what extent are companies going to go to sell us their goods? This is another aspect I wanted to look at.
