Recently I have been fully engrossed in the idea of space design and installation design. Gearing away from the typical boundaries of what graphic design is and veering into researching something new, is something that excites me and has helped me find a new direction in some personal projects.
I find it extremely interesting creating something which visually has a message to communicate but that has also got a semi-interactive feel to it. It affects your surroundings by changing them completely and giving you a new perspective to where you are.
This is an installation called “Entoptica” by OISTROS, in Cyprus.
The subject focuses on “A journey of 1cm”, this journey could be real or reflect an imagined distance. The designer has used the graduations of a ruler to create the illustrations, visualising imagitinative entoptic phenomena. The installation offers an interesting visual experience and examines our perception of what space is, an extremely interesting subject matter.
